The counselor would then explain to the adult about all the different options available and on what basis the assessment would be based on plus the proper documentation needed in order for he/she to be given the grant. Then, the adult is given forms which require filling. The information required in the form is usually the person’s financial history and other personal information. When the form is complete, it is taken to home offices for processing which usually takes a maximum of eight weeks and a minimum of six weeks. This is the basic process to obtain this type of grant.
Once the processing is done, the student (or in this case adult) will be mailed a reward letter which entails the kind of financial aid that the individual is entitled to. The letter is to be taken back to the offices for financial aid and signed in the witness of the counselor. You need to leave it for processing before coming back for the scholarship itself.
